Day 8
Wednesday, June 30th 2010
From Harris Beach
Cruised through Crescent Beach up our first major hill climb of 1500 feet, give or take.
This stretch of Highway dropped us into the Redwood National Park area.
As we arrived in the Redwoods we dropped hill after hill into a lush canopy of trees. (Amazing).
We set up camp at Elk Prairie State Park, located in the Redwoods.
Day 9
Thursday, July 1st 2010
We woke up early and tore down camp to head off to Breakfast at a diner, that was close by in a town named Orick.
From there we headed down the 101 to the town McKinleyville, to make a pit stop at 6 rivers brewery.
On our ride through Trinidad, we met up with a couple of bikers who offered us to stay in there backyard.
A huge thanks to Linda and Loren Azeredo for making us feel so comfortable.
Thank you for all of your generosity. (food, drinks, laundry, everything.)
